July/August Must Haves

Trends & gossipPosted by Gaetana Tuesday, September 12 2017 10:14AM
The summer is basically over here in the northeast so I finally have time to do a proper blog post featuring my monthly favorites for July and August. They're are mostly hair item minus one jewelry item.So enough chit chat and onto my must haves.

You might of seen my post on Instagram about my hamsa bracelet that was missing for months but resurfaced one day when I was cleaning in the most unlikely place. Since I found it and repaired it it hasn't left my wrist except for one day when I forgot to put it one. Hamsa's are a symbol of protection and ward off evil in a nutshell. My original piece was all rose gold plated but I had to repair it with gold tone chain and findings. Nevertheless, I still love it. You can find a similar bracelet on our website but in silver tone. Now with this next product I love what's in the container but of recently this brand has showed it's true colors. I won't touch on the controversy because you already heard about it and has moved on. But when I found it in my hall closet I said I would rather use it then toss it in the trash. Despite the company the product in this jar is pure gold. Shea Moisture Raw Shea & Cupuacu Frizz Defense Hair Masque is the business. One it smells so good but my thick hair loves it. I've noticed less frizz when I use. Will I be repurchasing??? I'm on the fence about that one. But since I stand behind my reasoning for not supporting this brand any longer I won't be repurchasing no matter how cheap you can find them. I'll pass but if you do still support this brand I would purchase this product.

Hold up, stop the press. Who knew Madam C.J. Walker was still in business. I didn't until I went to CurlFest. Now you know she's an OG of black hair care. I tried it and love it on the first try. I finished 2 packets with almost two months. Yes I was using is sparingly. One it smell soooo good, two the consistency is thick and a little goes a long way.Madam C.J. Walker Beauty Culture Wonderful Deep Conditioning Masque is the business. It is going to be a staple in my hair care routine. My hair loves moisture and this product gives the moisture it craves and then some. Try it you'll love it. Available at Sephora.

When it comes to this brand I love Eden BodyWorks and the same can be said for their Jojoba Monoi Line. Their Natural Deep Conditioner is a must for my hair routine. I really should of picked up a full container at CurlFest. Well now I know. This conditioner in combination with my other regular conditioners makes my hair happy. Leaves my hair moisturized and helps makes the detangling process easier. Definitely adding this to my must have conditioners. Available at all your retailers.

I have a love and hate relationship with Creme of Nature. I love the scent of it but if I use it too regularly I'm over it.Nevertheless, I was loving there Intensive Conditioning Treatment. If it comes in a bottle like their shampoo does then I've used it in the past. Hands down my hair loves their entire line. It's never heavy or overly thick. My hair just absorbs it and makes for easy detangling. Leaves my hair moisturized. Available at all your retailers.

I started using the Eden BodyWorks Coconut Shea Leave in Conditioner when I finished my regular leave in. It can be used on a daily basis but I mainly used it after I washed and deep conditioned my hair. Even when I used it in the middle of week on dry hair it add the needed moisture my hair was craving. Super light, no,flaking or product buildup. I'll definitely be purchasing this product in the near future. Available at all your retailers.

Now this product surprised the hell out of me. I love me so Design Essentials. By day 3 of any hair style I do in my hair (ie:wash and go, twist out, two strand twist, bun, pony tail, pineapple) my hair is screaming for moisture. I normally spritz my hair with a little bit of water then a moisturizer and restyle. I instead used this in place Design Essentials Natural Coconut & Monoi Curl Enhancing Dual Hydration Milk.Wow! It has milky consistency, super light but highly moisturizing. A little goes a long way. I sealed with oil and my hair was good to go. I will definitely be purchasing when I go in the store. Try it. You'll see exactly what I mean. Available at all your retailers.

July and August were hair products heavy since it was the summer and I tend to spend a lot of time in the sun.Which results in my hair getting fried and needing a ton of moisture added.September has only started so you'll have to wait and see what I'm loving.
