Since I've made the switch from New York to Florida I've kept my eyes and ears open to any events in the south Florida area. Here's a couple of events that you, the fashionista may be interested in.

*Brunch and fashion show for the Jewish Community Center of the Palm Beach special needs programs

Designer: Dana Buchman

The Look: Crisp careerwear, breezy sportswear and restrained eveningwear.

*Trunk show benefit for the YWCA Harmony House

Designer: Lyn Devon

Look: "The collection was inspired by a photograph taken of Peggy Guggenheim by Man Ray," said Devon. "The collection is an homage of her, replete with quirky painterly prints, modern graphic and geometric paneling details, abstract applique work and beading."

The Look: Palm Beach resort chic

When and Wear: Luncheon and evening fashion events from Friday to March 9 at Mar-A-Largo, The Colony Hotel, Trump International Golf Club, Cafe Boulud, Nordstrom and Frenchman's Reserve in Palm Beach Gardens, as well as CityPlace stores.

Friday-Sunday: Trade In/Trade Up clothing drive benefit Goodwill of South Florida and Gulfstream Goodwill. Drop-off locations at all Stein Mart stores in Broward, Palm Beach and Martin counties. Donors get tax receipts and up to four coupons for a 20 percent discount at Stein Mart.
