It's that time again for yet another JET (Jewelry on Etsy Team) Team challenge.Spring is officially here and so is another challenge. This one is slightly different because the theme wasn't the same for everyone. This time we were paired up with a partner and from there our partner had three categories they could choose from (Wedding,Prom or Graduation) and a color. My partner chose for me Wedding and the color peach. So I scoured my beads and got to work.
If you follow me on Instagram (@SatinDollCo) then you would of been on the journey with me last week when I was making this piece. My first two attempts failed due to one the pearls I initially wanted to use the holes weren't bore all the way through and then second attempt was a hot mess. So I went back to the drawing board and pulled some peach pearls (not shown), peach faceted glass beads and some carnelian tear drop beads.Along with some silver tone findings. I was determined to get it done this time around.
So I first took the head pins and beaded on a peach glass faceted bead followed by one of the peach pearls.
I then took the carnelian tear drop beads and put each one on a jump ring.
I then took a much larger jump ring and looped the carnelian beads onto them. The middle bead I added an extra jump ring so that it hanged a bit lower then the other two beads.Which in turn gave it an flower-like look.
Going back to the headpin with the beads I added the ear wires to that.
Next I added that to the jump ring with all the carnelian beads and closed the jump ring.
And that completes the earrings.
And that completes my piece for the Spring JET Team Challenge. I guess what they say is right. Three times the charm. Don't they look like little flowers or flower petals. Hence the name. You can find them available for purchase in my Etsy Shop here.
