Jewelry I Embrace in My 30s

Fashion & StylePosted by Gaetana Tuesday, March 27 2018 11:46AM
I've been in my 30s for 4 years now and I've noticed that fashion overall has changed for me. I no longer go for trendier items but more timeless and classic pieces. The same goes for my jewelry. I used to love my big, chunky, and bold pieces. Not anymore. Give me the simpler the better. I think as we age our likes and dislikes change like everything else. We can't stay the same forever. We do have to evolve and grow. So with that being said here is the jewelry I've been embracing in my 30s because they say it's the new 20s. It's as good as everyone says minus the gray hairs. Ijs.

Dainty bracelets - I never really cared for bracelets overall but I wear only one bracelet everyday no matter what I'm wear and it's a custom gold plated hamsa bracelet I made for myself. What I love about dainty bracelets is that you can wear them alone or pile them on. The more the merrier. They're simplistic yet still chic . You can do simple chain ones, ones with gemstones or ones with a mix of elements. The options are endless.

Simplistic necklaces - Just like bracelets I was never a huge necklace wearer. As a teen I was given jewelry by my parents, godmother and grandmother that I would alternate or wear all together. In my 20s I only wore my name plate necklace. In my 30s, depending on what I'm wearing I will only reach for certain necklaces if I do want to put one on and they're all simplistic. Why, you may ask because when they're simplistic they can go with just about anything. Simplistic necklaces are perfect for layering and they look polished and chic. A simplistic necklace can take a blazer, white shirt, jeans and ballerina flats from boring and plain to chic and sophisticated in a heart beat. Add a simple pair of earrings and a dainty bracelet and you're good to go. Take it from me. You'll be thanking me later.

Stud Earrings -If you know me then you know that I LOVE earrings. My collection has a bit of everything but as I reached 30 and has been embracing it. I no longer reach for my trendier, bolder, and chunky pieces. If it isn't a special event where I want my earrings to stand out then I'm not reaching for them. Plus with me being natural now and my hair is always dye some shade of red. My hair speaks for me. My earrings have taken a backseat. So the simpler the better for me. I've come to embrace stud earrings .They come in so many different varieties that can get bored.
