February was a super short month and with that being said. The amount of favorites I have this month has doubled January's. There was so much stuff I was loving and using on a daily basis. Unfortunately, no jewelry or accessories due to me wearing $1 studs and hoop earrings.
So lets get into my favorites because we might be here for awhile.
If you follow me on Instagram
then you know I'm into planning. I love my 1829 pieces sticker book from me & my BIG ideas. I use this thing weekly in my planner. From my weekly planner spread to my grid extra that I put in between my spreads.
This stickers are perfect for functional planning. and commonly be found at Michael's for $19.99 and up. I can not plan without this thing.
Yet another planner related item. I own several font stamps but this one has become my all time favorite to use in my weekly spreads to stamp out the month. Number one, the font is clear. The stamps takes well to most inks I've used and don't take little to no pressure to get a clear stamp.Cleans off easily too.
I purchase them a while back from Michael's in their $1.50 section. It's by studio g. A great buy for sure.
I went natural over a year ago and Eco Style Gel is a coveted item to my hair routine. I live by my gel. I really need to buy stock if it's available because they get so much of my money. I can literally go through a container 16 fl oz in a month or two.
This one is the olive oil one and I use it every time I style my hair. Wash n' go's, twist outs, ponytails, braid outs. It's my holy grail. I recently ran out of it and was too lazy to go the beauty supply to buy another one.So I used another gel that I had laying around. Boy did I regret it. My twist outs and braid outs didn't come out as good as they normally would.
It's a gel constancy as you can see and despite it being a gel it's super light weight and doesn't weigh your hair down. I never had flaking from it. I'm dying to get my hands on the new one though. I haven't seen it in stores yet. So you know how that goes.
I think I literally tried every edge control on the market. This one by Design Essentials Natural Honey & Shea Edge Tamer in Firmer Hold
is the business. I first used this months back on my sister hair when we installed her faux locs. It was laying around on my dresser ever since until one day I picked it up and used it in my hair. Girl, let me tell you this is the best edge control for my hair.
It was once clear but with my bedroom getting warm it melted several times over and re-harden. But nevertheless, it still works the same. When I want a sleek two strand twist braids or a two regular corn rolls or a high ponytail or even if I twist my hair this baby never lets me down. It even lasts for several days. This item is pretty affordable for an Design Essentials product $11.99. You can find it at your local beauty supply, Target, Walmart and the Design Essentials website
Now if you know me I live by my Lotta Body with Coconut & Shea Oils Moisturize Me. I think I can finish a bottle in a month or two. Especially now that my mother is natural and I basically take care of her hair for her. Between the two of us I say a month tops now. I use this in all the styling of my hair in combination with the Eco Styling gel. Twist outs, braid outs, twists it does it all. It not only helps style my hair but is also very moisturizing. It helps that it smells great too. You can find it at your local beauty supply, Target and Walmart
. Price range around $3.99 .
My sister is a product junkie and she came across this while browsing the aisles in Ulta. She ended up not like it and guess who she gave it to.Me. When I first tried it 2 days in I thought it was drying my face out but we realize the air in NY got really dry all of a sudden.I amped up my moisturizer and problem solved. So I continued using the Nip + Fab Hydrate Dragon's Blood Plumping Serum
. It says on the bottle it delivers a instant shot of moisture with hyaluronic acid to hydrate for plumper skin. Velvet flower to enhance moisture and dragon's blood comforts and restores skin hydration.
With all that said it does leave my skin hydrated. I've tried several serums in the past but those being an oil or cream. This one is a gel and I think that makes a difference in how it works. I can automatically feel my skin sucking it up. It doesn't just sit on top of my skin. My skin does feel firmer and stays moisturized throughout the day with and without makeup. Retails at Ulta for $19.99 but on sale for $16.99.
My final favorite is an mascara. Benefit they're Real!
Recently mascaras have been irritating my eyes but this one doesn't. I've heard mixed reviews on this mascara and both my sisters hate it . I like it. I have no lashes unlike my younger sister and this one give me some plus more. Not only makes them fuller but makes them longer too. I'm a huge fan of Maybelline's Volum' Express The Falsies mascara and it give me the umph that Falsies does.
I think the barrel wand makes the difference. So I will repurchase this baby in the future.
Whew, that was alot of stuff. I can only imagine the amount I'll have next month. What were you loving last must? I'm dying to find out.

Sonic, seriously where have you been all my life?!?! Yes today me and my sister got our Sonic cherry burst. We were like kids in a candy store when we saw it was open. Being a New Yorker we're constantly bombarded with Sonic commercials but guess what. There is no Sonic anywhere to be found. Not any more. Thank you lord.
We hit the car park like our lives depended on it and got our order on. It was so cute to see the staff on their skates. Some on the regular 4 wheels that we grew up on while others had their roller blades on. Shuffling from car to car delivering everyone's orders. You wouldn't believe me if I told you the line for the car park was as long as the drive thru. LONG. 20 minutes later our order arrived.
I got a vanilla milkshake while my sister got a strawberry milkshake. As a New Yorker I grew up on White Castle milk shakes which are good but thick. This one rivals theirs and win. It's not only thick as hell but sooo good. I'm still nursing it while I right this post. This one is a medium.I can only imagine what a large looks like. I would show you my Sonic burger but I kind of ate it. Do you guys remember when McDonald's used to put mustard on their burgers? This one had that plus pickles galore and the grease was dripping .I enjoyed every bite of it. My sister says it's better than Shake Shack.I told her not to knock Shake Shack. They're still good but Sonic hit the spot.
I got onion rings instead of fries . They were so good. This bag was filled full.
My sister was laughing at me because I took her leftover fries and added it to my onions rings. You can't waste it.The fries were like how Burger King and Wendy used to have their fries before they changed them. So good.
Sonic gets a A+++. And no, I'm tell you the exact location because we can't have a frenzy at this location. Just look up the local location in and around Brooklyn. You'll find it.
But can you tell how much we were enjoy our shakes. Yum! Back to slipping on my shake I go.

The struggle is real some times when it comes to stay creative especially when your field of work is to be creative and produce creative items. Sometimes you can feel overwhelmed to produce, produce, produce. Here's some of the things I do to keep my creative juices flowing.
Back in college when I was going to school at night and worked during the day I was always creative at night. Now that I work from home and I tend to work during the day time hours I'm creative during the day. First figure out the time period when you feel the most creative. For some it's during the day time. For others it's during the night.
Next you need to find your medium to express your creativeness. Whether it's paper, pencil, pen, an instrument, clay and etc. Mine happens to be drawing, jewelry making and sewing. When I feel creative I have to do it then which results me making my pieces in batches. Just keep creating until you can't create any more. When you feel like that's it. Stop.
Music is key to helping me stay creative. I love playing upbeat music like soca, dancehall or the latest hip hop. The more upbeat the better. Spotify your favorite artist and turn up the volume and create.
Get rid of all distractions. Tell everyone to leave you alone from a certain time period, close the door and let your creativity flow. I always get more work done period when no one is home. When everyone is home I just can't concentrate because I know every 5 minutes someone is going to say my name and want me for something.
One last tip to how I stay creative is to make the space where you create inspirational. Paint the walls a bright and cheerful color. Create an inspiration board of all your favorite things on a cork board and put it up on the wall. Have all your mediums out on your desk in cool cups so that they're easy to reach. If your space isn't creative then you won't be creative. It's that simple.
I hope this helps you stay creative. Feel free to tell me how you stay creative. I would love to know.

For January I really had to rack my mind and think what did I love for January. What was I using a lot. Gradually, one by one I finally figure out what my must haves for January were. I really don't know how people do this every month. I barely came up with 3. Well some is better than none.
It's really a mix of things when you look at it.
With my younger sister being a makeup artist I always get random bits of makeup. She recently gave me a new foundation because with it being winter in NY and I'm not getting any sun I'm back to my original skin tone. So for the entire month of January I've been wearing Makeup Forever Mat Velet+ foundation
in color #77. With me having oily skin this foundation is perfect. Oil-free and is just like the bottle says matte. It's not a matte that makes you look dead but a matte that makes your skin look like your skin. I put my makeup on roughly around 5:45am and don't take it off until around 4-5pm. That's a good length of time. Normally around 3-ish I see a bit of oil in my t-zone but it's a dewy oily not a oil slick mess like with other foundations. I highly recommend this foundation if you have oily skin and want a matte finish foundation that last a good amount of time before you have to blot your skin. I give it an A and when I finish this bottle which will be any time now. I'll definitely buy a new bottle. You can find it at Sephora
Now this next item(s) I have been using is planner related. If you follow me on Instagram then you know I'm into planner stuff. I try not to post too much but enough to show it's a interest. Anyway, my most recent spreads I've been using full weekly kits from one particular creator. Jessica Brown or MyPlannerEnvy
. First off all her stickers are printables and they're free on her blog. I found her on Pinterest which lead me to her blog. She not only has sticker samplers but functional stickers of all kinds for all types of planners. I literally spent one entire day and two packs of labels printing her stickers. What I love about her stickers is they're different especially her sticker samplers. All the big shops are doing the same thing which results in everyone having similar layouts. B-o-r-i-n-g. If you're new to the planner world this is a good way to get your feet wet without spending a ton of money. I don't have a Silhouette so I had cut these with an x-acto knife. It's takes a bit longer but well worth the effort.Check her blog
out you won't be disappointed and definitely join her Facebook group
.She's always adding new stickers to her blog.
First lets discuss how beautiful this cover is. It's actually more beautiful in person. It's The Girl in the Garden by Melanie Wallace. I was sent an advance copy by the publisher for a review in December but finally got around to reading it in January. Which took all of January because I wasn't in a real reading mood but I knew I had to read it. When I saw this cover on Bookstr
I knew I had to put in a request for the book. Here's my short but sweet review I left on Bookstr."Firstly this book's cover is beautiful. The book was well written and I
love how all the character were intertwined together. You got to know
each characters back story that lead them to the current date in the
book. What lead to their circumstances and isolation. The book might
start with June but ends with Iris's sad end. Overall, a great book and
story. I highly recommend this book and the story is as beautiful as
I might of had only 3 items for this month but lord did I give you my opinion on them. It's no telling what I'll love for February. You'll just have to stay tuned. What we're you loving for January? I'll love to know.

As we get older certain possessions hold special significance over others. As I go through my jewelry 2-3 pieces hold that honor from two very important people in my life.
I literally had to search through my jewelry to find them but they were safe and sound in their respective storage bags. One is a love knots necklace given to me by my godmother when I believe was in my late teens. The other was a gift from my parents on my 16th birthday. The 3rd piece that I would have loved to feature was from my late grandmother (my father's mother). A silver plated cross that was given to me when I was 9 years old.
Let's go into the story behind each piece.
As I said before this piece was given to me as either a birthday gift or Christmas present from my godmother in my late teens if I remember correctly. It's silver plated and is in desperate need of a good cleaning but anyway. It's a love knots necklace. In all honestly when I received it I had no clue what the design was but was told shortly after receiving it that the knots meant and the significance of it. The person said, " Someone love you a lot". I said why. They answered back with , "You're wearing a love knots necklace." I said oh.
We'll the official definition of a love knot is a very popular style of jewelry for expressing your love . On a deeper level representing endless love that has no beginning or end. I'm truly honored that my godmother gave me this piece since I'm her "daughter" since she has only sons.
This piece with my initial was given to me on my 16th birthday by my parents. It was so cute how I received it. I had a Tweety bird cake since I loved it so much and they wrapped the necklace around Tweety. I think I was more excited by the cake first then the necklace. At 16 I could officially have a boyfriend, stay out a lil' later. This piece was my beloved piece until my early twenties.
This piece held so much significance to me that I created a whole collection based on this one piece as inspiration. My Initial collection in Spring of 2014, which is still available on my website. You never know when something from your past will inspire you in the present.
Both of pieces were given to me from two important part of my groups in my life that have help guide through adulthood. They also represent my youth. I can remember so many important times when I was wearing either. Just wow!
What piece(s) hold special significance to you?

I still can't believe we're in 2017. When people used to say as you get older the year and years go by faster they weren't lying. As a kid the summers used to feel like they lasted forever. December was here and gone so fast that I had to really think what was I used that month. I managed to remember what I was using and loving all month long.
From fashion to skin care to hair care I managed to pull some of my coveted items.
Let's start with my planner. It's a Recollections Creative Year Solid Planner in metallic ivory which you can purchase at Michaels. With December being full of so many activities plus the holidays and my parent's anniversary on New Year's Eve this baby kept me organized and sane.Too bad it couldn't help with burnout. If you're into planners I highly recommend it. It can hold a lot and the rings haven't given me any issues. To get a look at how I used it, check out my 2017 Planner
With it being the colder months, I've really been into earthier colors when it comes to nail polish. For the entire month of December I was rocking Essie's nail polish in Very Structured. It's a neutral color that I think would look good on all skin tones. I love it! I'll will be rocking this color when the months become warmer too for sure.
I will confuse that I'm bad when it comes to moisturizing my skin. I've come to realize that I had a bad habit of bathing, towel drying and then putting on my pj's at night. Sometimes you're just too tired to bother. With the colder months and the air being so dry it was literally drying out my skin. Regular lotions were not working. The only thing that keep my skin moisturized is Palmer's Cocoa Butter. It has saved my skin. Thank god.
I already shared with you a while back my favorite moisturizer for my hair. Here's my favorite conditioner hands down.I use this in combination with other conditioners but my hair would not survive anytime especially these winter months without it. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist is a must in any hair routine. My hair feels moisturized and easy to detangle after using it. Don't walk, run and get yourself a bottle.
No matter how you feel about the Kardashian/Jenner family they sure know how to make products that sell. Kylie has done her thing when it comes to her makeup brand. My sister gave me this lip gloss in Like
when she got her replacement with the new wand. Let's not talk about how f-uped this wand is but the product in the tube. With it being colder I rarely wear a full face of makeup except eye liner, mascara, lip balm and this lip gloss. It's described on the website as a ultra-pigmented, lustrous gloss in a warm mocha brown. It's true to it's description. Hands down the perfect lip gloss for a bare face if you want to add a bit of something to your lips. Even with lipstick underneath it's a perfect match. It literally last for hours through eating. The lip gloss is still there going strong.Good job, Kylie. This lip gloss lives in my bag and makeup bag. It has replaced all my other favorite lip glosses.
I'm not going to lie to you when I say the weather here in NY has been bipolar. One minute it's cold, then hot, then cold, then arctic. With that my lips have been taking a beating. If I don't have a lip balm on they're getting chapped which leads me to biting my lips. Nivea A Kiss of Milk and Honey has been saving the day. Hands down the best lip balm around. It definitely keeps up with NY's bipolar weather conditions.
I moved into my thicker and bulkier coat in December which means who has time to carry a handbag. I love my handbags I really do but I love my fingers more. I've taken my sister's crossed body bag from H&M as my own a while back when my Forever 21 one went bye bye. I just carry the essentials and go. If it can't fit inside this bag I'm not carrying it.
This card case is my baby. From the time I created my Cognac Card Case
I moved my business cards, ID, and store cards into it. It is a essential and I no longer carry a wallet because of it.They're just too bulky and if I was using one it wouldn't fit inside the cross body bag. It's super light weight and compact. Chic and sleek. You don't have to feel self conscious about pulling it out because of how fashionable it is.
And this completes my December Must Haves. I wanted to include so many other items but they sold out I guess during the holiday season and it would be a waste to include if you couldn't go out and purchase it if you liked it. Time will only tell what I'll include in January Must Haves. You'll have to wait and see. What did you love for December.

With a new year upon us I decided to share my planner and all the nuts and bolts that I will be using for 2017.
In the fall of 2016, I switched to my Recollections Creative Year Solid Planner in metallic ivory. I love it so much that I plan on being it for the entire 2017. You can find it at your local Michael's or online(which is currently out of stock).
I changed the inside of my planner for the coming year. The dividers I made from Target Dollar Spot folders and cut them down to size for my planner. The pockets feature an array of Target Dollars Spot post its and post it notes. The secretary pocket features miscellaneous stickers that can be used on the go from Michaels Recollections collection. The girl with mug I made from a illustration from a illustrator (@nichollekobi) I found on Instagram that I adore. I recolored her with photoshop to look more like myself. The pen is a Target Dollar Spot pen. Despite what you hear I like the Target pens.
In this first section you have this 2017, This is Your Year. It's from The Charmed Shop . A free downloadable printable that you can fill in each area with 7 goals for the year. Genius Miss Trenchcoat. Genius! Download it here
After that I have the 2017 Calendar overview from Wendaful. You can download it here
I then have a print out for all the US Holidays for 2016- 2018 from Green & Lyme. You can download it here
This next printable is Important Dates for the entire year from SewMuchCrafting. You can download it here
. Love this. I'm good with birthday but other important dates sometimes go right over my head. This is going to be super helpful.
Then I have a free downloadable printable from Strange Charmed with a list of A Resolution a Day. Which I'm failing right now to mark off. You can download it here
This next sheet is a January overview sheet which features a mantra, important dates, monthly goals, and reading list. It's from Strange Charm is apart of the printable with A Resolution a Day. Perfect for writing out everything for the month.
From there I go into my monthly calendars which I decorate and forward plan with. They're from Wendaful and can be download here
After my monthly calendars are my week on 2 pages from Wendaful. I made a page marker from a leftover folder that I used to make my dividers. I used a Today sticker from Heidi Swapp and put some page flags for easy access. You can download the printable here
Right after the page maker I took a page of grid paper from a Recollections booklet and cut it in half. I used stickers from Me & My Big Ideas Create 365 1829 pieces sticker book to create an area to list additional to-dos, shopping list, bills that need to be paid, dinner menu and a weekly task list. I started this mid-year last year and I highly recommend it.
This next divider is more for note taking and was made from the same pack of folders from the Target Dollar Spot.
On the backside of that divider I have a Heidi Swapp Receipt Pocket which you can get from Michaels. In this section I have a couple of sheet of To-Do lists which came with my planner.
Also a couple of pages of lines paper that I got from Target Dollar spot which I cut down and punched.
In this next section, I have a lot of important information (ie: telephone numbers, doctor information, password log and etc.)
This first printable is telephone log from Green and Lyme that you download here
The next two sheets are my Online Order Tracker
and Wish List
. Which are both from Wendaful. Love them!
I have a million and one books I want to read but before I get there I must read the books on this list first. This Books to Read printable is from Wendaful and can be downloaded here
. To see what I have on this list to read for 2017, go to my blog post "A Look Back on 2016 Reading Challenges
This next printable for 2017 Goals for the Year I can not for the life of me locate the source but if you would like to print it out feel free to shoot me an email. I'll happily email it to you.
I then have a running Festival Checklist which I got off of Pinterest. You can find a variety there.
I then have a bucket list for Fall and for Winter using stickers from me & my Big ideas 1557 Seasonal sticker book.
I then have sheets of the Recollections grid paper for jotting down more lists.
This next section featuring a couple of foldout printables. The post its and page flags are all from the Target Dollar Spot. Yes I'm a bit obsessed but they come in handy when you have to jot something down.
This first one is 2017 Fold Out printable from Peanuts Planner Co. I haven't figured out exactly what I'm going to use it for yet. You can get download it here
I've been on the hunt for a online sales tracker for a while now that has everything I need on one page. I finally found it at PapierMyDay
on Etsy. I purchased it for $4.75 and it's worth is so much in my opinion because it's a life saver for me. You can get it here
The second foldout is from Strange Charmed and it's the 2017 Yearly Overview Printable. Which I started to use to mark my blog post and my schedule for each day if something major was going on. You can download it here
I forgot to photograph the Quarterly Etsy Stats which are from Green & Lyme. You can download it here
. It's great to have the stats of your website and Etsy on hand.
To round off this section I have a Keeping Track of My Social by Recollections . It's part of their new inserts for their zipper planners. This section came from the Boss Inserts. I gave the rest to my sister. It came with a section for Client List, Invoices, and Appointments. You can find them at Michaels.
In this last section I have everything pertaining to my blog. This insert is called the Blog Brainstorm which features a couple of lines to jot down ideas then a calendar below. Super great to schedule blog post for the month. They're from Cort in session and can be downloaded here
. Note: the inserts were made for 8x11 paper. So I reduced the size to either 50% or 75% to fit my planner.
Following that I have two pages worth of blog ideas that I found on Pinterest. I scoured all over and took ideas that I knew that I would want to blog about in the future in case I don't know what to blog that particular day. Super helpful and good to have on hand.
To finish off my planner I have a folder that I made from a Target Dollar Spot folder which holds any random pieces of pieces . It's great to have in my planner.
Lastly, I have one of the dividers that came with my planner so that the pages before it don't get too damaged.
This completes my look into my planner for 2017. It's super functional with a bit of cute. Otherwise I would be a disorganized mess. With it only being January a ton more could be put into it in the months ahead. Maybe in a couple of months if things change I'll do a update look. Until then this is my planner.
I would love to see your planner. Feel free to post a photo of what you're using for 2017, your Youtube channel, and/or Instagram.
