I still can't believe November is done and December is here. November was a busy month for me being my birthday month and all. Add tons of work and you sum up my November. As the weather got cooler my favorites for this month switched up from the previous month.
This month was all about staying warm. Even though I'm a November baby I prefer the heat any day. The one thing I love about fall is layering up and wearing boots, coats and all the accessories that come with the temps getting colder. So it's only right this month must haves feature some of those items.
If you're a fan of MAC cosmetics or even Star Trek then you already know about this product. I was put on to this by my sister when we went to a MAC event sometime in August and I was her model. From that moment I knew when the Star Trek collection came out I was getting this. It's the Trip The Light Fantastic Power in Strange New Worlds
. It can be used as a highlight or blush.
I can't remember exactly when it came out but I've been using it everyday or every time I put on makeup. I use it as a blush. It give my cheeks a warm flush with a hint of highlight. So it's basically a two in one.
If you ask anyone about me and hats they'll quickly tell you that I don't like wearing one. That's where the invention of my turban headbands came about. I'm so glad that I got the inclination to make them some years ago. Now that my hair is natural I definitely can't wear wool hats. Either I'll have to line them with silk fabric or run the risk of damaging my hair. With the temps warm some days and then cold others. I will bust out one of my turban headbands in a heartbeat. My Black Out Turban Headband
has been getting some wear this November then many others. Like they say, black goes with anything.
I love me a good flat boot in a warm cognac tone. This babies always come out when it gets a bit cooler since I got them back in 2014 for my birthday. They are the Madden Girl Women's Elsie Motorcycle Boot in Cognac. Besides being fashionable they're comfortable too. I got mine off of Amazon unfortunately they're no longer carried on Amazon. Boo
I wanted to add my wool coat that I changed into a the beginning of the month but it seems that it has sold out once again on H&M. But that's another well loved and must have for November. Oh and my Aldo handbag not available on their website.
As November goes it was slim picking when it came to must haves but not every month will have a laundry list of items. I can't wait to see what December has in store. Hopefully no snow or freezing temps. What's on your November must haves? I would love to know.

Getting PersonalPosted by Gaetana Saturday, October 29 2016 12:58PMLike any woman we love our accessories. My vices are jewelry, scarves and handbags but recently the organization of my jewelry has been lacking badly. Let's get a lil' personal and go into my jewelry storage and how I'm going to reorganize it.
The pieces our currently wearing are on my dresser top but all my other jewelry has been stored in those bags you get a bag. One is organized with sets of pieces in zip-lock bags. While all the pieces I was wearing during spring and summer were just thrown in a bag.
This is a hot tangled mess and I know better. So this just makes it even worse.I feel so bad for some of the piece because I know ear wires are off while others are tangled.Bad me.
Thank you to my Aunt Verna to the rescue. The mail lady knocks on my door and it's a package from my aunt. I first call my father to see if my uncle sent him something. Nope. So I proceed to open it and look what's in side.
A jewelry organizer. Just what I needed. It features two trays with moveable pieces.
And the second tray just sits on top of the first one.
Plenty of space I hope. Now to organize that tangled mess and get rid of old crummy pieces.
One down, one to go. I tried to organize by style .
All done. Some how I managed to get everything in. Now I should be able to find what I'm looking for.
Don't be like me and just throw it in a bag. Wrong way. You'll lose more pieces in the long run. I don't know the brand of the organizer but my aunt purchased it on HSN. So just put jewelry organizer or storage in the search engine and you should be able to find it. I think I might have to buy one myself for future storage. Because if you can't tell I LOVE my earrings. A girl can't have too many of them.
How are you currently storing you're jewelry? I'll love to know.

Get a behind the scenes look at our lil' work space.
It's a small space because we all know New York city apartments are not big so you have to utilize any space you may have. The desk is from IKEA along with the draws and glass top.
We basically customized our desk which came out way cheaper then buying one pre-constructed. The glass top is what makes it unique. We choose the famous Youtube ALEK draws for the perfect amount of storage.
Our computer, keyboard and mouse is HP. It recently crashed but thank god it's back from the computer graveyard.
My planners have a permanent spot on my desk since they keep me organized and on task. The file stand houses paperwork that I use on a daily basis.
Our desk is more functional then pretty but we added a decorative plate with candles from IKEA. The buddha I got from the swapshop in Fort Lauderdale, Florida some years back. Our pen holder is from IKEA along with the fake plant. Had to add some greenery in the mix.
If anything and we have to construct jewelry or package orders our keyboard and planners are moved out the way for more space.
So if you ever wondered what our workspace looked like. You've been given a inside look. It's all about functionality. Hopefully in the near future we'll have a whole dedicated area for Satin Doll & Co. but for now this will do.
What does your workspace look like. We''ll love to see.

October is coming to a close slowly but surely. October is one of those months where it's actually what the weather is supposed to be. Fall. Cooler temps and time to put on a layer or two.
Now that the weather is cooler our holy grail of favorites have changed just like the season. Here's our October Must Haves.
Sweaters and especially chunky sweater are a must during fall. Being a fall baby I have a love and hate relationship with fall. I LOVE summer because I love the heat but I love fall because it's still a bit warm during the day and a little bit cooler in the evenings to wear those chunky sweaters with a cute jacket, boots and scarf. This sweater (shown above) I got last year about this time from Charlotte Russe
. It's hard to find a good sweater and when I do I buy them in more then one color. I really wish I bought more then two colors.
When the weather gets cooler everyone loves to reach for something warm to drink. I normally drink 1 hot cup of tea in the morning year around but when the temps drop I drink up to three. Most times it's tea.Sometimes if I'm in the mood I might drink a cup of coffee. So you got to have a go to mug. This one I got from the dollar store. It's tall so that means more tea.
Between boots and scarfs are my fall all time favs. You can't go wrong with a good scarf. You can wear them a million and one different ways and now that I'm natural they go double duty as a hair wrap. This one is my all time favorite because of the neutral color and cool animal print. This puppy goes with anything and everything. You can find these at your local vendors, Target, Walmart and etc.
Now that I'm natural and this is my second winter I know my hair needs moisture in the cooler temps. This baby right here is my go to moisturizer. Design Essentials Coconut & Monoi with Sunflower & Shea Deep Moisture Milk Souffle.
It not only helps keep my hair moisturized but smells good too. I use this after doing the LOC method and before I put my styler in my hair. This jar is 12oz and should last you a long time and a little goes a long way.
Curls. Blueberry Bliss Twist-N-Shout Cream . I used this baby a total of 4 times so far on wet and dry hair and I see what all the hype is about this brand and line. It's hands down tha bomb. I recently did my hair using this as a styler with eco styling gel for a twist out and a little bit goes a long way. No buildup or flaking and works well with the eco styling gel. My twist out last for 4 days. I could of went for 5 or 6 days but I pineappled my hair on day 5. I then used it to twist my hair on dry hair and the same. No buildup and my twist are well moisturized and bouncy. I know when I take the twists out that my twist out will be everything. I'm definitely going to try the rest of the products in this line.
I could of added so many more items to my must haves for October but I decided to keep it short and sweet. What's your must haves for October? I would love to know.
